Allen Propst
Allen visited Pamlico County in 1973 during his junior year in college and knew he would eventually make Oriental his home. He became a permanent resident four years later and then in 1987, he and his wife Angie opened Mariner Realty. Allen is a consistent Million Dollar Producer, a Graduate of the Realtor Institute (GRI), a past president of the Pamlico County Board of Realtors, and a past president and Paul Harris Follow recipient from The Oriental Rotary Club. In addition to running a successful real estate business, Allen is recognized locally as a leading authority on land development of North Carolina coastal real estate. Allen finds the balance between being environmentally conscience and instituting best use practices. His sales team and clients enjoy the benefit of his valuable hands-on experience, his respect for our natural resources and his solid knowledge of processes and issues related to land-use.
Living in Oriental is not all work. The Propst family spends much of their recreational time outside. Allen’s love and knowledge of Pamlico County and its wildlife is evident as he names every bird, plant and animal he sees or hears. While on the water you may find the family hunting, catching fish or paddling around on kayaks. As an avid golfer, Allen will squeeze in a round first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon at Minnesott Golf and Country Club where he is a member and serves on the Board of Directors. While enjoying the pristine waterways and the small town environment, Allen is reminded of why Oriental is the place he chose to live more than 36 years ago. “There is something for everyone here and the quality of life is without compare.”

Angie Propst
As a past two term president of the Pamlico County Board of Realtors and through her active involvement with governmental, civic and community organizations, Angie enjoys playing a role in making Pamlico County a wonderful place to live and raise children. She takes pride in introducing people to Oriental, Pamlico County and all of Eastern North Carolina. Often, you will hear Angie say, “Finding the right property is easy when people fall in love with our communities and way of life.” From art and music to golf and sailing, there is something for everyone.
When Angie is not involved in real estate or planning an event, she is playing golf with her husband, Allen, or on the water with her family and friends. She loves taking her 19 foot boat and cruising the ICW dolphin watching, taking day trips to the beach or just having fun in the sun with the girls. (Sometimes with the guys too.) Family dining on the back porch while watching the moon rise over the water and enjoying the fragrance of gardenias and Carolina jasmine are special moments for Angie and the family because the beginning of summer is here again. Nothing could be finer….
